Who we are
The data controller for this website is ZBX Ltd, trading as Vela (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at hello@use-vela.com. We are building an ADHD assessment and care service for the UK. This policy covers this website: the waitlist you can join and the advertising measurement we run on the site. It does not cover our clinical services, which are not yet open; those will have their own privacy notice.
What we collect
- Waitlist details. Your email address, the date you joined, and, where present, advertising campaign parameters from the link you arrived on (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content). These tell us which campaign brought you here; they say nothing else about you.
- Ad measurement. With your consent, we use Google advertising measurement tags to understand whether our ads work. These load only if you accept the cookie banner, and we have disabled ad personalization signals.
How we use it, and our lawful bases
- To send you updates about Vela's launch — that is the sole purpose we collect your email for, with your consent, given when you join the waitlist (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). No other use, and no marketing for anyone else.
- To measure advertising performance — with your consent to non-essential cookies where required, and otherwise our legitimate interest in understanding whether our advertising works (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run this site, who process data only on our instructions: database and hosting infrastructure, and an email delivery service. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
International transfers
Our waitlist data is stored in the EU. Some providers (for example Google and Meta) may process data outside the UK; where that happens, transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or UK adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until our launch communications conclude or you ask to be removed, whichever is sooner. You can leave the list at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.
Cookies
Advertising measurement tools may set cookies (for example, Google Ads conversion cookies or the Meta Pixel). These are non-essential cookies, and none are set unless you accept them via the cookie banner. Declining does not affect your use of the site or the waitlist. Your choice is stored on your device; to change it, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will reappear.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, and you can withdraw your consent at any time — just email hello@use-vela.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk.
